The Lacuna method is an effective treatment method for fungal nails. The practitioner will make a few rows of very tiny holes by drilling through the nail plate to the nail bed. The practitioner will then use an anti-fungal spray (Terbinafine 1%) known as Lamisil and apply it over the nail. The lamisil will then pass through the little holes spreading under the nail reaching the affected area, enabling the infection to be treated effectively.
What happens after the treatment?
You will need to continue to use the spray daily at home, until the infection is clear.
